Ningaloo Whaleshark Festival 2018

The Ningaloo Whaleshark Festival will be held from May 24 - 26, 2019, in and around the town of Exmouth.

Community groups, artists, musicians, buskers, stallholders and volunteers who want to be involved should contact the committee now (contact details below).

The festival will interest all ages with activities including a gala opening, fun run, festival day, live bands and entertainment, concert night, kids treasure hunt and art exhibitions.

The festival kicks off with a Gala Opening at the Mantarays Ningaloo Beach Resort on Friday night. Festivities will continue on Saturday at Talanjee Oval with a fun run, breakfast, live entertainment and activities right throughout the day, before an all ages, open air concert after dark with the 2018 festival's headline act, Blue Shaddy. The 2018 festival comes to a close on Sunday evening with a sundowner at the Exmouth Yacht club (on Town Beach) featuring Ash Grunwald and band, plus plenty of beach games and live entertainment for the whole family.

And of course, there is the opportunity to see and swim with the stars of the festival, the majestic whale sharks! Whale sharks visit the Ningaloo from March - August each year, when visitors to Exmouth and Coral Bay have the once in a lifetime chance to swim with these biggest fish in the world. Please contact one of our fantastic whaleshark tour operators to book your tour during the Ningaloo Whaleshark Festival's 'Big Day Out on Ningaloo Reef' (Sunday May 27, 2018) at a special, one day only discount price!
