The North West Cape nutures an unusually large variety of flora and more than 630 species have been recorded here to date. The Cape Range Trail extends from Minilya up the Minilya - Exmouth Rd to Yardie creek in the Cape Range National park. Throughout this trail Sturt Desert Peas, Mulla Mulla, Green Birdflowers, Rock growing Ficus and other species may be seen. The general time wildflowers can be found in this area is July - October (depending on the rains). Wildflower books and free brochures can be obtained through the Exmouth Visitor centre. The Milyering Visitor Centre also has a short self guided flora walk around their premises. See our friendly staff for information.
